Gratitude in Every Drop, Giving Thanks to the Land, the Hands, and the Hearts Behind Hermosa Organic Tequila

Thanksgiving morning has a different kind of quiet.
The kind that feels like the land is taking a long breath before the sun rises.

I stand here with that same long breath.
Holding stillness.
Holding gratitude.

The Hermosa Organic Distillery is this place, these agave Tequilana (blue Weber agave), these people — they are the reason Hermosa Organic Tequila exists. And today, I want to give thanks for every single one of them.

Thank You to the Land That Holds Us

The first thanks always goes to the earth.

The valley in Amatitán, Jalisco, México shapes everything.
The volcanic soil. The heat. The cool nights. The rhythm of the seasons. Even the wind that moves across the agave Tequilana (blue Weber agave) feels like an old friend.

The agave Tequilana (blue Weber agave) grows here with a steady kind of strength. Slow. Patient. It takes ten years for a single plant to reach full maturity. Years of terroir, sky and soil working together.

When people ask why Hermosa Organic Tequila tastes so clean, so pure, so full of natural sweetness, the answer is simple.
It is because the land gives with honesty.

Thank You to the Hands That Harvest

I am grateful for every jimador who walks these fields.

Their work is art.
A coa blade hitting agave has a rhythm that never leaves you.
Chop, lift — a quiet dance passed through generations.

They know which agave is ready from a single glance. They know where the sugars are richest. They know how to trim a piña so clean it looks like a polished stone.

Their hands shape every drop of Hermosa Organic Tequila Blanco, Hermosa Organic Tequila Reposado, and Hermosa Organic Tequila Añejo. And the honesty in their work is why Hermosa Organic Tequila is ranked among the top 10 tequila brands in the world, year after year.

When the horno is warm and the sweet smell of cooked agave fills the distillery, I think of them first.

Thank You to Our Hermosa Organic Tequila Family — the Team, the Stores, the Bars, the Restaurants, and Everyone Who Buys a Bottle

To everyone who brings Hermosa Organic Tequila into your homes, your gatherings, your celebrations, your meals — thank you.

Every store that places us on a shelf.
Every bar that pours us with pride.
Every restaurant that shares our story with guests.
Every person who chooses Hermosa Organic Tequila over something mass-produced.

You are the heartbeat of this brand.

Your support lets us stay USDA Certified Organic, additive free, single estate, Mexican owned, and dedicated to sustainable farming practices. It lets us keep giving back to the planet through reforestation and soil regeneration efforts. It lets us stay small, thoughtful, slow, and real.

Hermosa Organic Tequila does not exist without you.
And today, I feel that deeply.

Thank You to Those Who Protect the Future

Gratitude also belongs to those who understand that taking care of the land is not optional.

Our work with reforestation and soil restoration partners like Trees for the Future reminds me daily that true stewardship is a circle. Nature gives to us. We give back to nature. That circle is what keeps our agave strong and our tequila pure.

And in a world moving fast, choosing slow, responsible farming is an act of love.

Thank You to Tradition and to the Ancestors Who Continue to Guide Us

Tequila is not a product.
It is a heritage.

As a Mexican owned brand, we do not treat this lightly. The traditions that came before us guide every choice we make. From our cooking methods to our fermentation to our commitment to clean, honest tequila — we carry the old ways with respect.

A Special Thank You to My Father

There is one more thank you that sits close to my heart.

I think of my father, Hermann Elger, standing in the lobby of the El Presidente Hotel in Acapulco back in the late 1960’s. He was the general manager then, young, and full of the kind of quiet strength that builds a life step by step.

One afternoon, an employee returning from a visit home handed him a gift.
A bottle of tequila.
Simple. Honest. Pure.

He called it Hermosa tequila natural.

He shared it with reverence, not because it was fancy, but because it tasted like truth. It tasted like the land, the people, and the spirit of Mexico itself.

I grew up hearing him talk about that bottle.
How it carried the soul of the agave.
How purity was not something you manufactured.
It was something you protected.

Those stories stayed with me.
They shaped Hermosa.
They shaped the way I look at this craft, at these fields, at every bottle we create.

So today, on Thanksgiving, I give thanks for him
and for the moment someone placed that first bottle in his hands.
It became part of our family story
and eventually became part of Hermosa’s resurrection story too.

Thank You to the Tequila Itself

It may sound strange, but today I give thanks to the spirit too.
Tequila is alive in its own way.

Hermosa Organic Tequila Blanco tastes like fresh agave and clean air.
Hermosa Organic Tequila Reposado tastes like warm earth and sunset.
Hermosa Organic Tequila Añejo tastes like time itself whispering through oak.

Each expression tells a different part of this valley’s story.
And each one reminds me of our quiet promise:

Honor the tequila.

Not as a slogan.
As a way of living.
As a way of remembering what matters.

A Thanksgiving Moment in the Fields

The sun is higher now.
The shadows are shorter.
The silver-blue agave glows soft in the heat.

I run my hand along a leaf.
It is warm and alive.
It carries years of patience inside it.

And I feel it again — that long breath of gratitude.

For the land.
For the people.
For the customers.
For the past.
For the future.
For the tequila that connects us all.

On this Thanksgiving day, from the fields of Amatitán, Jalisco, México to wherever you raise your glass, thank you for being part of the Hermosa Organic Tequila story.

May we keep honoring the tequila together.
And may gratitude guide the next chapter.
